Who Has Berlin's Best Pizza? BHS To Find Out March 19

Two Berlin HS groups are hosting their annual 'Slice of Berlin Pizza Wars' event to see who has the best pizza in town.

BERLIN, CT — In case you don't know, Connecticut takes its pizza very seriously.

And next week, two Berlin High School student organizations are teaming up to show that Berlin loves a slice or two (or three) as well.

Berlin Upbeat and Berlin FIRST Robotics Team 155 are again presenting their annual "Slice of Berlin Pizza Wars" on Wednesday, March 19, starting at 6 p.m. in the Berlin High School cafeteria.

"In a town with a good handful of pizza restaurants, Upbeat and Robotics are putting it to the test
by asking the community to vote on their favorite," wrote event organizers in an announcement.

Each participating pizza business from Berlin will offer sample sizes to taste test.

Attendees will complete scorecards and two winners will be announced: "overall best pizza" and "best specialty pizza."

Admission is $10 per person. Pre-purchasing tickets is highly recommended as the event is limited to 300 attendees, and last year, there was a near-sell-out crowd.
