Abandoned Pet Turtles Being Cared For At Dan Cosgrove Animal Shelter
Turtles who were left abandoned without food or water, the animal shelter staff noted, had a good Samaritan step in "to save their lives."

"We need your HELP!! A family abandoned these two turtles in their home without food or water, and a person who heard about them stepped in to save their lives and brought them to us," the shelter posted to Facebook.
And while the shelter has some supplies to care for the reptiles with shells including a tank, there is need.
