APK Charities to Host 5K, Ruck Sack Run on Guilford Fairgrounds
The APK 5K and Ruck Sack Run will be held Saturday, Nov. 5 with registration at 7 a.m.

From APK 5K:
The third Annual APK 5K & Ruck Sack Run will take place on Saturday, Nov. 5 at the Guilford Fairgrounds starting with registration at 7 a.m. Following the opening ceremonies, the race will begin and run through the historic and beautiful streets of Guilford. This race is in honor of Capt. Andrew Pedersen Keel. Andrew was a resident of Madison and a Special Forces officer stationed in Afghanistan when he lost his life defending our freedom. His parents, Helen and Bob Keiser, began APK Charities in his memory.
The charity raises funds for various veterans’ organizations that continue to help all veterans. There will be a Kids Race, $10 fee, the 5K, $25 fee and the 5K Ruck March, $25 fee. For participants of the 5K Ruck March, bring a backpack with non-perishable food items with the following recommendations: 150 lbs. and under, 10 lbs., over 150 lbs., 20 lbs. The food will be donated to the St. George Food Pantry and Madison Food Pantry after the challenge. There will be onsite registration the day of the Race.
