Big Tip Stuns Branford Waitress: Report
A customer left the tip for a touching reason.

BRANFORD, CT — Keri Marie Carlson, a waitress at G.W. Carson's in Branford, normally wears two hearing aids, she recently told a customer, but one was broken.
She didn't say it because she was looking for sympathy or a response, the customer had simply asked her, because she was having difficulty hearing his and his companion's orders.
At the end of the meal, the man gave her a $500 tip to help her get the hearing aid fixed, reports the Guilford Atticus. The gesture so surprised Carlson that she wept while hugging the man before the couple left.
