Branford Animal Shelter Looking For Owner of Dropped Off Pit Bull
"This dog was brought in as a "found dog." This dog is a pit mix, intact and he has no micro chip."

BRANFORD, CT - The Dan Cosgrove Animal Shelter is trying to determine the rightful owner of a pit bull mix who was recently dropped off at the shelter. The shelter is asking for the public's help.
Here is what the shelter had to say on it's Facebook page about the dog:
"This is a weird post. But we need your help with shares.

"This dog was brought in as a "found dog." This dog is a pit mix, intact and he has no micro chip. He came in wearing a muzzle ( which we took off) and (his chain choker seen in his picture) and seemed very comfortable with his handler.
"He was found either in Branford, Wallingford or Meriden or maybe he was never lost at all and it was his owner who brought him to us - we really are not sure because her story didn't make any sense.

"But if someone is missing him and he is lost- please share his story. But if that was his owner Please share this post with people in those towns and let us know if anyone knows who this dog is. You can call anonymously at 203-315-4125.
"We would like to know what his real name is, his likes and dislikes, how old he is, etc. Thanks for your help!!
