Branford Board Approves $110k Bay View Park Playscape

The playground, which is replacing an aging wooden playscape, should be installed sometime this fall.

Last week, the Branford Board of Selectmen approved a new, $110,000 playground for Bay View Park.

The Branford Eagle reports that the playground will replace a wooden playscape at the park, which is splintering and has been declared unsafe. The new playground costs $110,000, part of which was offset by donations from the community, and should be installed sometime this fall.

The Eagle reports that the Foote Trust gave $45,000, the Board of Recreation gave $10,000, the Branford Rotary Club gave $5,000 and Branford Honda will give up to $2,500 for the project.
