Branford Early Learning Center To Get $280k In State Funds For Renovations

State Sen. Ed Meyer, D-Guilford, praised the appropriation.

On Friday, Connecticut officials announced the approval of $280,000 from state taxpayer to replace sinks, toilets and doors at the Branford Early Learning Center.

The money will go to replacing the center's doors and its handicap toilets and sinks and upgrading security at the center. State Sen. Ed Meyer, whose district includes Branford, praised the move.

“The Branford Learning Center has provided an important service to many of Branford’s children, and I am glad that this funding has been approved to improve the learning environment at their facility so employees can focus on helping children without being distracted by these concerns,” Meyer said in a press release. “Our children deserve the best support available, and I want to thank Governor Malloy for supporting this vital investment.”
