Branford Recreation Announces Spelling Bee Winners

From the Branford Recreation Department:

On Saturday, March 12th, the Branford Recreation Department sponsored its annual Spelling Bee for grades three through adults.

Thanks to Branford teachers/volunteers Mrs. Jay Palluzzi, , Mr. Scott Fonicello and Mrs. Kathy Nelson, who judged the event.

The following is the list of winners by grade:

Grade 3:
1st Place: Michael Steinman
2nd Place: Paloma Bandyo, Murphy School
3rd Place: Max Rosenberg, Tisko School

Grade 4:
1st Place: Hari Amin, Murphy School
2nd Place: Parsa Malahiazar, Tisko School
3rd Place: Randy Liu, Murphy School

Grade 5 /6:

1st Place: Daniel Liu, Walsh Intermediate 5-3

Grade 7/8:
1st Place: Alishbah Siddiqy, King Robinson – New Haven

1st Place: Faran Siddiqy
2nd Place: Samira Faron
