Branford Woman, 82, Dies From Crash Injury; 2 Remain Hospitalized: PD
She was driving a car involved in the North Branford crash Wednesday. The other driver, a passenger, hospitalized in serious condition: PD.

NORTH BRANFORD, CT — An 82-year-old Branford woman has died from injuries she sustained in a serious crash on Foxon Road in North Branford Wednesday afternoon, according to police.
North Branford Chief of Police James Lovelace reported "with deep sympathy" that Diane Golia, who was driving one of the involved vehicles involved in the 3 p.m. crash near Doral Farms Road, succumbed to the injuries sustained in the collision.
"Our heartfelt condolences go out to the Golia family, friends, and loved ones during this difficult time," Lovelace wrote.

The driver of the second vehicle and a passenger remain listed in serious condition at Yale New Haven Hospital. This accident remains under active investigation, with the assistance of the New Haven State's Attorney’s Office.

"We are grateful to those who have already come forward with valuable information. Motor vehicle accident investigations are complex and extensive, and we ask for the community's patience and cooperation as we work diligently to gather all necessary details."
