Branford's Top Cop Could Soon be North Branford's Top Cop
One of the finalists for the open police chief position in North Branford is the current police chief in the neighboring town of Branford.

One of the finalists for the open police chief position in the town of North Branford is current Branford Police Chief Kevin Halloran.
Halloran along with New Milford Deputy Police Chief Mark Buckley have been scheduled to interview for the North Branford position, which has been filled on an interim basis by James Lovelace since last year's retirement of longtime Chief Matthew Canelli.
Halloran has been Branford police chief since 2111, when he replaced John DeCarlo. He started at the Branford police department in 1989.

Halloran has talked about the need for the Branford police department to have a succession plan in place to be prepared for the day when he decides to leave the deparatment.
In recent months, Branford appointed John Mulhern, previously North Haven's deputy police chief to be Branford's deputy police chief.
