BRANFORD, CT —Calling it a "revolutionary fast-casual kitchen," Stony Creek Brewery celebrates Stony Creek Eats at a grand opening March 1. And coming this spring will be the debut of Stony Treats, a dessert trailer.

"These exciting additions promise to enhance the brewery experience, offering a seamless blend of exceptional food, refreshing drinks, and sweet delights," the popular brewery noted in an announcement on the new offerings.

Stony Creek Eats, located inside the Brewery's taproom, is described as a fast-casual concept designed for convenience and enjoyment while "embracing the brewery spirit." It's noted that customers may order drinks at the bar while being able to choose any table for dining. The system, it's noted, uses a QR code system allowing guests to order from their tables, ensuring a contactless and straightforward experience. The food will be brought to you at the table you ordered from, so you don’t even have to get up."

"We wanted to maintain the laid-back ambiance of a brewery while elevating our culinary offerings," Stony Creek Brewery president Ed Crowley Jr. said. "Stony Creek Eats allows guests to seamlessly enjoy their favorite brews alongside a diverse menu crafted by our head chef, Mark Vecchitto."

Crowley said Vecchitto was named CT Chef of the Year in 2014, and as a seasoned culinary professional, he has showcased his skills on various television cooking competitions, including the renowned "Beat Bobby Flay" and “Guys Grocery Games."

Stony Creek Eats has for the past week had what's called a soft opening where, Crowley said, the eatery hosted two "very important friends and family nights" and they were a success.

The grand opening of Stony Creek Eats is March 1. It will be open for lunch Friday through Sunday from 11:30 a.m., and for dinner every day of the week. A Happy Hour is set for Monday through Thursday from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. that includes discounted drinks and appetizers, Crowley said. He did note however that Stony Creek eats hours "will adjust as we move into spring and summer, please check our website and social media channels for updates."

In addition to the food menu, Crowley said, "Stony Creek Brewery will now be able to offer an extended selection of nationwide liquor and wine brands, including signature cocktails, martinis, margaritas, and more."
