BRANFORD, CT — The Dan Cosgrove Animal Shelter is asking folks to be on the lookout for a missing dog.

As the shelter posted to Facebook, "This pup is still missing!"

The ask is for folks who in live in, near or travel to the Branford Hills area especially Jefferson Woods, the Greens Condos, Burban Drive, Helen Road, Pent Road, Pinski, Mona, Orchard Hill area, Alps Road, even Short Beach and Route 1 to "please keep your eyes and ears open, but do not approach."

"She likely has a leash attached and may be stuck somewhere," DCAS wrote. So if folks "hear incessant barking," they are asked to call DCAS at 203-315-4125, but if after hours call police dispatch at 203-481-4241 and "ask the police to dispatch us."

"She is skittish but loves her brother Diggs so if there are sightings we would like to utilize the same method we did with Taylor, but we need the public to call us with sightings or barking."
