Worst Road Conditions in Branford? Tough To Beat Gould Lane

Ongoing housing project off of Gould Lane has made a mess of the heavily traveled road that leads to nearby Leetes Island Road/Stop & Shop.

BRANFORD, CT - Everyone has their stories of what are the toughest roads to drive on in any given town but an ongoing construction project has taken a normally placid, heavily traveled road in Branford and turned it into a mess for drivers.

Gould Lane, right off of Exit 56/Leetes Island Road, and a busy road that many take that leads to Stop & Shop, is a pothole mess these days - as it tries to recover from the heavy construction equipment that has worked on the new home project for several months.

The roads are so hard to travel that many have taken to using only one lane on the two-lane road, dodging oncoming vehicles from the other way as both try to avoid the pocked up patches left by the construction equipment.

The bad news? The project by the looks of it has many months to go so drivers shouldn’t be expecting a break anytime soon.
