Bridgeport Man Took Taxi To Burglary: Police

Police say a Bridgeport man took a taxi to Wilton in order to rob a home.

WILTON, CT — A Bridgeport man was arrested last week after police say he took a taxi to a Wilton home to commit a burglary. Emmanuel Modey, 22, allegedly stole four cell phones with a total value of $2,119.06.

Police say Modey took the taxi from Bridgeport to Wilton for the burglary on June 15. After the burglary, police said the taxi dropped him off at the South Norwalk train station.

Modey was arrested at the Norwalk Superior Court and was charged with burglary in the third degree and larceny in the third degree.

He was unable to post the $50,000 bond at the time of his arrest. He did not enter a plea at arraignment on Sept. 15 and was released on a promise to appear. He is due next in court on Sept. 25.
