Police Cruisers Crash While Pursuing Vehicle In Bridgeport: State Police

BRIDGEPORT, CT — Two state police cruisers collided while in pursuit of a speeding vehicle on I-95 in Bridgeport Thursday, according to state police. Both troopers were trying to catch up to a black SUV in order to make a traffic stop after the SUV was seen speeding in the median.

State police say Trooper Joseph Longo pulled into the median and attempted to catch up to the SUV when he veered to the left and struck Trooper Thomas Glowacki's crusier which was traveling south on I-95 as well as a cement barrier.

Police say both refused medical attention at the scene. Both vehicles had to be towed from the scene due to damage, but the damages were described as moderate.
