Ellington Youth Services Welcomes New Assistant Director

Officials said the new Assistant Director brings clinical experience and a strong connection to the Ellington community.

ELLINGTON, CT — Ellington Youth Services has announced the appointment of Olivia Catlett as its new assistant director.

Catlett joins the department with an associate’s degree in therapeutic recreation and a bachelor’s degree in human services. According to Ellington Youth Services, she has previously worked in clinical and rehabilitation settings and brings experience focused on supporting youth and families.

Catlett has also completed teacher training in yoga and mindfulness through Breathe for Change and is certified in addiction counseling, as well as violence intervention and advocacy.

“I am very excited to serve a community that I have grown up in and be a part of an organization that offers positive change through many different programs,” Catlett said in a statement shared by the department.

Ellington Youth Services officials said they are excited to welcome Catlett to the team and highlighted her background as a strong addition to the department’s ongoing work with local youth.
