Event Aims To Support Ellington High Student-Athletes

A portion of Wednesday night's sales and raffle ticket proceeds will go toward Ellington student-athletes.

ELLINGTON, CT — A restaurant will host a fundraiser Wednesday night to support Ellington High School student-athletes.

The Ellington Recreation Department said the event will benefit both the Ellington High School boys and girls basketball programs and will run from 4 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 14. Supporters can take part by dining in or ordering takeout, with a portion of proceeds going to the teams.

The fundraiser will be held at JRego’s Gathering Place, according to the recreation department.

Raffle baskets will also be available during the event, featuring prizes donated by local businesses including Buffalo Wild Wings, Ellington Ridge and the Scandinavian Shop.
