Beloved Summer Concert Series Starts Thursday In Farmington

The first of several summer shows starts Thursday, June 12, with the weekly concerts continuing through late August.

FARMINGTON, CT — One of the most anticipated events in Farmington's summer scene starts this Thursday with the first show in the 2025 Summer Concert Series.

Hosted by the Farmington Community and Recreational Services Department, the series of family-friendly music starts Thursday, June 12, and continues weekly through Aug. 21.

It all starts at the 68th annual Strawberry Festival at New Horizons Village, 37 Bliss Memorial Road, Unionville. The festival is from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

New Horizons is an apartment complex for adults with physical disabilities.

The band "Locomotion" will perform in the 2025 inaugural show, and they feature "hits for all ages."

Next week, the series goes to its regular site at the Staples House Green, 2 Monteith Drive, Farmington, with the "Replay Band."

They will perform hits of the 1950s and 1960s on Thursday, June 19, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., with those who donate a box of cereal to the food pantry getting a free Ben & Jerry's sundae.

Shows will then take place every Thursday through late August (except for the week of July 4), concluding with a Beatles tribute band and a Taylor Swift tribute band on Aug. 14 and Aug. 21.

All shows are free, and food is available for purchase at each concert.
