Farmington Roadway Reopens After Long Closure: Police: UPDATE
The road was closed as crews worked to replace and repair downed utility poles and power lines.

FARMINGTON, CT — A busy stretch of road in Farmington finally reopened Wednesday morning after being closed since Tuesday evening due to downed poles and utility lines.
According to the Farmington Police Department at 7:03 p.m., Hyde Road from Spring to Johnson Streets was closed due to the situation.
Police urged motorists to seek alternate routes of travel.

The roadway remained closed all night long well into Wednesday morning, with police finally announcing at 7:42 a.m. Wednesday the area was cleared.
Hyde Road is now back open to all traffic, following an overnight closure.
