FARMINGTON, CT — An area charity foundation is hosting a large benefit event on Sunday, Oct. 27, in Farmington that involves lots and lots of cars.

But don't call The Hometown Foundation's "New England Concours d’Elegance" event a simple "car show."

It is a celebration of supercars, those dream machines that those of us who can afford them get and those of us who can't only dream about.

The Hometown Foundation and Hemmings, a national collector car marketplace community, are hosting the event.

It will celebrate Hemmings’ 70th anniversary and raise funds to support The Hometown Foundation’s community initiatives.

Basically, guests will be able to enjoy an up-close-and-personal look at a variety of dream cars (Ferrari, Jaguar, Porsche, and Mercedes-Benz), look at some vintage drag racing cars, and enjoy a wide variety of food and beverages, among other events/attractions.

Proceeds will benefit both The Hometown Foundation and the Klingberg Foundation’s Automotive Restoration Program, supporting emergency responders, individuals with intellectual disabilities, and local communities.
