Demetia Caregiver Support Group To Meet In Farmington

The event will take place at a local assisted living facility later this week.

FARMINGTON, CT — A special support group for those caring for loved ones with Alzheimer's disease and dementia will take place in Farmington on Thursday, Jan. 15.

"Hearts, Hugs, and Hope: An Alzheimer’s Support Group" will be offered by Farmington Station

that day at 6 p.m.

Farmington Station, an assisted living and memory care community, is located at 111 Scott Swamp Road, Farmington.

"Dealing with Alzheimer's disease and related dementia isn't easy, so it is helpful to share your concerns and personal experiences with others who completely understand what you're going through," reads a program announcement.

Guests will also learn about proven strategies to help folks better care for their family members and/or loved ones.

Groups are held on the third Thursday of each month, both in person and via Zoom.
