Farmington Food Pantry Nominated For Credit Union Donation
A credit union will give money to three nonprofits with the highest vote tally, and a Farmington organization is among the candidates.

FARMINGTON, CT — The Farmington Food Pantry has the chance to win thousands of dollars in the second round of American Eagle Financial Credit Union's "Cash Back to the Community" program.
From now through June 19, community members can vote online for a nonprofit they believe is worthy of financial support (with one vote allowed per email address). In early July, AEFCU will donate money to the three organizations with the highest number of votes.
The amount of money will be determined based on AEFCU members' debit and credit card usage, and officials estimate each organization will be given about $8,333.

AEFCU is currently running its second of four rounds of awards. Both members and nonmembers were invited to nominate local organizations, and each only needed to be nominated once to be included on the ballot.
In its first round, the credit union gave $8,376 each to the Hartford County 4-H Camp of Marlborough, Boxes to Boots of Berlin and The Free Center of Middletown.
