Farmington Student Scholarship Applications Sought By Town

Farmington student applications for the 2025 William A. Flis scholarship must be turned in by Tuesday, April 1.

FARMINGTON, CONN. – The Town of Farmington has announced that applications are now being accepted for the Stephen A. Flis Scholarship.

This scholarship fund was established to support Farmington students pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in public administration or public service.

Dedicated to Stephen A. Flis, who served as Farmington Town Manager from 1955 to 1985, this scholarship aims to assist individuals with a demonstrated commitment to community service who wish to turn their passion into a career.

This year, the scholarship amount has been increased to $1,500 to further aid aspiring public servants.

Farmington High School students interested in applying should contact the FHS Counseling Department or the Farmington Town Manager’s Office at 860-675-2350 to obtain an application.

Applications must be submitted by 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 1.
