'Hardworking' Farmington Dad 'Puts Others Before Himself,' Son Says

FARMINGTON, CT— Father's Day is the perfect time to give a big thanks to all the dads who put smiles on our faces. Farmington, meet Bryan.

If you know a dad who sends sweet, silly or thoughtful texts your way, you’re pretty lucky. Texts from Dad have a way of putting a smile on our faces — and this Father’s Day, we’re celebrating the fathers behind the phones!

Patch has partnered with T-Mobile to shine a light on awesome dads and the funny, insightful things they say. This submission comes from Aiden who nominated Bryan of Farmington.

What makes your dad extra special?

My dad is such a hard worker. He is always up very early and can still be working at 9-10 in the evening. He even has time to come pick me up from school and we always have the best conversations on the ride home. Then he will make a gourmet dinner every night for my mom and me before returning to work again. On the weekends he will do odd jobs around the house and make sure we all go to church on Sundays. He makes time to bring me to museums and antique shops that I love to do. He works so hard to provide a good schooling education for me. He only wants what’s best for me. He goes without for so many things so I can grow up to be a well-rounded young man.

Why do you feel your dad deserves the spotlight?

I feel he deserves this because he always puts others before him and does everything other people always ask of him.
