Join the Alzheimer’s Association at a 2025 Walk to End Alzheimer’s this Fall
The CT Chapter of the Alzheimer's Association invites you to attend one of the six 2025 Walk to End Alzheimer's® in our state this fall.

September 18, 2025 (Connecticut) – The Connecticut Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association
invites you to attend one of the six 2025 Walk to End Alzheimer’s® in our state this September
and October.
On Walk Day, participants take part in the poignant Promise Garden ceremony – a mission-
focused experience that signifies our solidarity in the fight against the disease. During the
ceremony, walkers will carry pinwheel flowers of various colors, each color representing their
personal connection to the disease. Those living with the disease carry the blue flower, families
and caregivers carry the yellow, people who have lost loved ones have purple flowers and those
who support the cause and advocate for a world without Alzheimer’s and all other forms of
dementia hold the orange flower.
There are 80 thousand people in Connecticut living with Alzheimer's disease, and twice as many
caregivers – the majority are unpaid family members.
“With solid evidence that lifestyle interventions can reduce your risk of cognitive decline, and
two FDA-Approved treatments available for those in the early stages of the disease, we are in an
exciting time in research and care,” says Laura Hoffman, Executive Director of the Alzheimer’s
Association Connecticut Chapter. “We need people to know we are here for them, wherever
they are on their journey. Join us at a Walk to End Alzheimer’s this Fall and see that you are not
alone.”
