Major Art Show Displays Farmington Students' Work

The Farmington School System's annual student art show started Wednesday at the local libraries, running through Feb. 28.

FARMINGTON, CT — If you're interested in seeing what pupils in Farmington schools have been up to artistically, you might want to drop by the library for the next month.

Wednesday, the Farmington Public Libraries at 6 Monteith Drive and the Barney Library at 71 Main St. officially opened their sites for the 2025 Farmington Public Schools K-12 Art Show.

At both libraries, student art in a variety of mediums will be on display during library hours through Feb. 28.

On Thursday, Jan. 29, the main library on Monteith Drive will host an opening reception from 5 to 7 p.m. to officially kick off the show.

Exhibits are open to the public during open hours at the Main and Barney libraries.

Of note is that, since the gallery spaces are used for other programs and events, the exhibits may not always be accessible.
