Thanksgiving Weekend In Farmington: What You Need To Know
The town has announced its openings/closings for the upcoming Thanksgiving weekend, which starts Thursday, Nov. 27.

FARMINGTON, CT — Farmington officials have announced the Thanksgiving holiday weekend impacts on town/school operations.
According to the town, Farmington town offices will be closed Thursday, Nov. 27, and Friday, Nov. 28, in observance of Thanksgiving.
Regular hours of operation will resume on Monday, Dec. 1, at 8:30 a.m.

Trash/recycling
For residents who have trash and recycling collection by the town's contractor (Waste Material Trucking Co.), there will be a one-day delay, starting with the holiday (Thursday, Nov. 27).

If the collection normally falls on Thursday, it will be picked up on Friday. Friday's collection will be picked up on Saturday.
Farmington Libraries
The Farmington Libraries at all sites (Main and Barney) will be closed Wednesday, Nov. 26, through Friday, Nov. 28, for the Thanksgiving Holiday.

Farmington public school classes will dismiss early on Wednesday, Nov. 26, with schools closed on Thursday, Nov. 27, and Friday, Nov. 28.
The regular class schedule resumes on Monday, Dec. 1.
