Warrant Reveals New Details Of Murder Of Farmington Father Last Month: Reports
The 62-year-old victim's 31-year-old son has been accused of stabbing and killing his father at his Unionville home.
FARMINGTON, CT — Court records released Monday unveiled gruesome details and disturbing comments from the man accused of killing his father in Farmington last month.
Citing an arrest warrant, WFSB Channel 3 reported Monday that Joshua E. Popielarczyk, 31, confessed to killing his father, David Popielarczyk, 62, on Nov. 14.
The murder took place in the family's Birch Street home in the Unionville section of Farmington.

WFSB, citing court records, reported that the son confessed to killing his father after getting into an argument with him.
The suspect put his father into a choke hold, heard a 'pop,' and then proceeded to stab the man 20 times with a knife from the kitchen, WFSB reported.

WFSB reported that the suspect is still being held on $3 million bond following a brief appearance in Litchfield Superior Court on Monday, Dec. 1.
According to WTNH Channel 8, the younger Popielarczyk claimed his father was "verbally and physically abusive" toward the son and other family members, court records indicated.
WTNH, citing police, said the younger Popielarczyk was also involved in multiple domestic incidents at the location in recent years.
Both WFSB and WTNH reported that Joshua Popielarczyk told police the murder was premeditated and he had no remorse for the killing.
