West Hartford Artist's Work On Display At Farmington Library
The artist, who hails from Ukraine, has called her exhibit 'Let There Be Color and Light.'
FARMINGTON, CT — The local public library is a repository of books and knowledge, but it's also a haven for art.
On Saturday, the Farmington Public Library's location on 6 Monteith Drive, Farmington, is celebrating a new art exhibit featuring light and color.
Created by artist Tatyana Nadgor of West Hartford, the exhibit is called "Let There Be Color And Light" and it is located in the library's Jay Johnston Community Room.

On Saturday, Sept. 14, a special opening reception will take place there from 2 to 4 p.m. The exhibit went up Aug. 26 and it will be on display through Sept. 30.
"We all familiar with the phrase 'Let There Be Light' and it’s all about the genesis of creation. And art is the expression of human creation," said Nadgor, who moved to the U.S. from Ukraine nearly two decades ago, in a library announcement.

"Artists around the world with different cultures and backgrounds breathe life into their work, with the color and light being essential elements of their artistic vision."
Her paintings, according to Nadgor, "is an invitation to celebrate life."
Exhibits are open to the public during open hours at the main site on Monteith Drive, as well as the Farmington Public Library's Barney Library on 71 Main St.
Since the gallery spaces are used for other programs and events, the exhibits may not always be accessible.
