GLASTONBURY, CT — A Glastonbury police officer and two other people were taken to the hospital after a car hit three vehicles — among them a police cruiser — on Hebron Avenue Tuesday evening, Glastonbury police said.
At around 4:42 p.m. Tuesday, a Ford Fusion was driving west on Hebron Avenue (just west of Hawthorne Mead Drive) when it crossed the center line, sideswiped a Jeep Grand Cherokee driving in the opposite direction, then hit the SUV cruiser head-on, police found in a preliminary investigation.
The Jeep then hit a fourth vehicle, police said.
