Breast Milk Dispensary Opening At Glastonbury Pediatric Office: Report

Soon, parents can buy donated breast milk directly from a dispensary at a Glastonbury doctor's office, the Hartford Courant reported.

GLASTONBURY, CT — Almost two years ago, Glastonbury Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine opened a breast milk donation center — and soon, parents will be able to buy milk directly from a dispensary at the office, the Hartford Courant reported.

The state's first out-patient breast milk dispensary is opening at the practice on April 23, and it's designed to provide pasteurized human milk to mothers having trouble with lactation, the newspaper reported.

The milk is donated by registered donors, and it will cost about $4.20 an ounce, according to the Courant.
