Glastonbury Bans Street Parking Ahead Of Snowstorm
The town has implemented a street parking ban to expedite snow removal. See when it starts and ends.
GLASTONBURY, CT — Ahead of tomorrow's snowstorm, the town of Glastonbury has implemented a parking ban.
The ban will begin at 12:01 a.m. Friday and last until 7 a.m. Saturday, the town said on Twitter. Glastonbury residents should make sure all parked vehicles are removed from the roadways so crews can clear snow as quickly as possible.
A winter storm warning is in effect for Hartford County through Friday night, and the area can expect to see 4-8 inches of snow, the National Weather Service said.

"Snow will overspread the region between 1 and 4 am Friday morning," the weather service said. "The snow will quickly become heavy falling at the rate of 1 to 2 inches per hour at times through daybreak Friday. The snow will change to sleet from south to north Friday morning and some light freezing rain is possible across northern Connecticut and northwest Rhode Island."
