GLASTONBURY, CT β€” With school back in session at Glastonbury High School, local police are reminding residents of the pick-up and drop-off protocol for the school year.

Here is an overview:

  • During the morning times of 6:45 a.m. - 7:30 a.m. and the afternoon of 1:30 p.m. - 2:15 p.m. the front driveway β€œB” is solely used for loading and unloading of school vans and other school transportation. You will not have access to this driveway during these times.
  • Parents needing to pick up or drop off students during these times should ONLY use driveway 'D' located on the east side of the gym. All of the driveways are posted as fire lanes; please do not park or block them. They are clearly marked β€œno stopping, standing, or discharging of passengers, along with Hubbard Street in front of the school.
  • Additionally, please DO NOT use the parking lot at Youth and Family Services for pick-up or drop-off purposes.
  • Please allow for extra time as the area can become busy and congested during pick-up and drop-off times. We recommend driving by GHS ahead of time to identify the proper driveway before school starts if you are unfamiliar with the area.
