Glastonbury Fire Marshal Warns of Scam
Con artists are targeting residents, claiming they must conduct carbon monoxide inspections on behalf of fire marshal's office.

GLASTONBURY, CT - Glastonbury residents are being targeted by what the Glastonbury Fire Marshal describes as "scam artists" who are cold-calling local property owners claiming to work for the local fire department.
Officials said that the callers "under the guise of conducting free carbon monoxide tests and threatening those who do not comply, these people are trying to gain access to your property, likely to commit other crimes."
The Glastonbury Fire Department does not hire or endorse outside vendors to conduct this carbon monoxide testing, nor does it conduct random phone solicitations.
