Glastonbury Housing Authority to Receive HUD Grant

The grant is from a program that funds renovation and modernization of housing facilities across the country.

The Glastonbury Housing Authority is one of several housing agencies across Connecticut that will receive part of $23.4 million in funding announced by the US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).

The grants announced Feb. 12 are provided through HUD’s Capital Fund Program, which is aimed at supporting renovation and modernization for housing authorities throughout the country.

The housing authority will receive $319,431.

Projects supported by these funds include roof replacement, electrical and plumbing repair or updating electrical systems.
