β€œIt is with great sadness that I share the heartbreaking news that one of our students, Dillon Dupuis, has passed away from injuries sustained in an automobile accident last week. Dillon was a cherished member of the GHS community, participating in various activities, including the Crew Team, band, and Glastonbury Fire Cadets. His warmth and kindness touched everyone who knew him. Our thoughts and deepest sympathies are with his family and friends as they navigate this tremendous loss.

"The passing of a student deeply affects our entire school community. We want to ensure that everyone feels supported during this difficult time. Please know that our school counselors, psychologists, and support staff are available to assist anyone in need. Do not hesitate to reach out for support.

"We have also included resources to help families guide children through grief and loss. Please take advantage of these materials and connect with our support services whenever needed. School counselors and support staff will be available in the GHS library beginning at 7:00 am throughout the week. We encourage anyone who is struggling to access these supports."

Two people suffered serious and life-threatening injuries in the crash that Friday night, police said.

At 8:53 p.m., Glastonbury police, fire, and EMS crews responded to the area of 3066 Hebron Ave. (the local name for state Route 94) after being alerted to the three-vehicle crash.

Officers and EMS personnel provided medical care to the occupants of all vehicles involved, police said.

Glastonbury Fire personnel extricated the two most severely injured occupants, who were transported to area hospitals for treatment of serious and life-threatening injuries, police said.

Dupuis was a passenger and one of those extricated from a vehicle, police said.

The community has been rallying around the family. A Go-Fund-Me Account set up shortly after the accident is just $597 short of its $50,000 goal.
