Glastonbury School Calendar: Key Dates For The 2024-25 Academic Year

GLASTONBURY, CT — Summer is almost over for students in the Glastonbury public school system.

The first day of school in Glastonbury is scheduled for Aug. 28 for those in grades 7 through 12 and the following day for those in grades K through 6.

2024-2025 Projected Last Day of School is June 10:

• Grades K-11: If weather or other emergencies require the closing of school, the lost days will be made up by extending the school year in June up to 6 days. If additional days are needed, they will be taken from the 2025 Spring Recess, beginning April 14.
• Grade 12: In September, the Board of Education approves the high school graduation date. High school seniors will graduate on this date without needing to make up inclement weather days (or other unforeseen school closings). This helps our families with travel and celebration planning.

Here are some of the important 2024-25 school year dates to get on the calendar:

• Nov. 28-29: Thanksgiving
• Dec. 23-Jan. 1: Holiday recess
• Feb. 17-18: Winter recess
• April 14-18: Spring break
