Glastonbury Second Chance Shop To Benefit From J.Jill Clothing Drive

Glastonbury, Conn. The Second Chance Shop in Glastonbury is teaming up with its charity partner J.Jill to provide an opportunity for the community to support The Village for Families & Children and a sustainable way to recycle new or high-quality, gently worn clothing during Earth Month.

J.Jill, a women’s clothing store, will be accepting donations of new or high-quality, gently-used clothing at their locations in Somerset Square (140 Glastonbury Boulevard, Glastonbury, CT) from April 10 through April 13. Donations are accepted during J.Jill’s open hours. As a thank you, those who donate will receive a J.Jill coupon for $10 off one full-priced item valued at $40 or more, exclusively in stores

The donated clothing will be sold at the Glastonbury Second Chance Shop, which is run and managed by dedicated volunteers. Sales proceeds will benefit women and their families receiving various services at The Village.

For more than 60 years, the volunteer-run Glastonbury Second Chance Shop has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for The Village by selling donated items.

The Glastonbury Second Chance Shop is located at 730 Hebron Avenue, Glastonbury, CT and open on Thursdays and Fridays from 11:00am to 3:00pm and Saturdays from 11:00am to 2:00pm. Donations of new or high-quality, gently used clothing, shoes, jewelry, household items, antiques, etc. are accepted during normal business hours.
