• Passed-Out Driver Found On Highway Ramp In Glastonbury (patch.com) — Glastonbury readers should know that local police arrested a 43-year-old town resident on New Year’s Day after finding him passed out at the wheel on the Route 2 off ramp at Hebron Avenue. Officers say he now faces charges of driving under the influence and possession of a controlled substance following the early afternoon incident.
   

• Glastonbury Residents Can Start The New Year Off With A Complimentary Radon Test (patch.com) — Glastonbury is offering 50 residents free radon test kits to kick off the new year, aiming to protect households from this invisible gas linked to lung cancer. The Health Department, in partnership with the state, will randomly select eligible residents who email their contact information, then notify them to pick up kits at Town Hall and mail them in for no-cost analysis.
