Road Closures On Tap For Next Week As Part Of Bridge Replacement Project In Glastonbury
A project to replace the pedestrian bridge along Main Street in Glastonbury is in full swing.

GLASTONBURY, CT — A project to replace the pedestrian bridge along Main Street in Glastonbury, which crosses over Wickham Brook, approximately 700 feet south of the intersection with Hubbard Street, will; result in some road closures next week.
A portion of Main Street is scheduled to be closed on Monday, Dec. 15 while crews remove the existing bridge.
The same section of road is scheduled to be closed on Friday, Dec. 19 for the installation of the new bridge.

Both road closures are scheduled to run from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.
During the road closures, traffic from the north will be routed east onto Hubbard for approximately 0.5 miles and then south on Buttonball Lane for 1.25 miles, where the detour will end at the intersection of Main Street, Buttonball Lane, and Route 17.

Traffic from the south will be detoured in the opposite direction, beginning at the intersection of Main Street, Rt. 17, and Buttonball Lane.
