Route 2's New Exit Numbers In Glastonbury: An Up-Close Look
Vehicles entering Route 2 will find a new numbering system.
GLASTONBURY, CT — Here is a close-up look at the new Exit numbers on Route 2 in Glastonbury.
In January, the Connecticut Department of Transportation announced that exit numbering will be revised on Route 2 — both eastbound and westbound — from Norwich to Hartford, including a big chunk in Glastonbury.
The project began on Jan. 7 and was completed in February.

The project consisted of exit renumbering and replacement of highway signs. The exits were renumbered to a mileage-based sequence to conform to Federal standards and are part of a multi-year effort on all the state's highways.
The project awarded to A.M. Rizzo Electrical Contractors, Inc. at a cost of $17,186,676.
