Teacher Appreciation Event in Glastonbury

Students from Glastonbury invited their teachers from various fields, including academics, sports, and music, to the Guru Vandana (Teacher Appreciation) event at the Oakwood Sports Center. The students performed a cultural program that included a skit, dances, and musical performances. They expressed their gratitude to the teachers by honoring them with personalized tributes in a traditional Hindu custom. Several teachers participated in the event and expressed their appreciation for the celebration. Teachers also shared their experiences of the event with both students and parents.

The concept of the teacher, or 'Guru,' is deeply revered in Hindu culture as the one who ignites the light of knowledge, and the Guru Vandana tradition has been celebrated for thousands of years.
