Teen Charged After Glastonbury Cops Find Car Near Damaged Utility Pole

GLASTONBURY, CT β€” A teen driver is facing two charges in connection with a car hitting a pole on New Year's Day, police said.

The 18-year-old was charged with evading responsibility and failure to drive upon right, police said.

The crash occurred on Jan. 1. That day, police located a damaged vehicle in Manchester Road near a snapped utility pole, according to police. Manchester Road is state Route 83. The accident was along the 800 block, police said.

The girl is scheduled to appear in Manchester Superior Court on Jan. 29, records show.
