UConn Magazine Profiles Glastonbury Native; Engineering Student
The university publication's newest issue highlights Courtney Luker of Glastonbury, a biomedical engineering major who will graduate in May.

GLASTONBURY, CT — A local face has popped up in the most recent issue of UConn Magazine.
The University of Connecticut's publication profiled Courtney Luker of Glastonbury, an engineering student and a member of the school's class of 2022.
Titled "Engineering Her Best Self," the story maps out Luker's path to becoming a biomedical engineering major — she loved using Playmobil toys as a kid and once made a sled from cardboard and duct tape — and her plans following graduation.

Luker recently accepted a full-time job with Medtronic, a medical device company based in North Haven, according to UConn Magazine.
"It's 2022," Luker told the magazine. "It's crazy that being a woman in engineering is still such a big deal."
