Small Plane Experiences Issue, Lands At Groton-New London Airport

An aircraft that experienced in issue during flight made a safe landing at the airport Tuesday.

GROTON, CT — An aircraft made a safe landing at Groton-New London Airport after it had an issue during flight Tuesday, WTNH News-8 reported.

The airport is open, and the National Transportation Safety Board has been notified about the incident.

Poquonnock Bridge Professional Firefighters Local 2704 posted the following on Facebook on Tuesday afternoon:

"All units responded to the Groton New London Airport this afternoon for a crash landing. There were no injuries to the two occupants on board."

Firefighters arrived at the airport and found a plane on the runway that did not have its landing gear down, The Day reported.
