City Of Groton Police To Host Citizens Academy
The eight-week course is to designed to familiarize residents with how the police department operates.
GROTON, CT — The City of Groton Police Department will host a Citizens Police Academy.
"The purpose of this academy is to provide the local community with information as it relates to the function and activities of the City of Groton Police Department," the police department wrote on Facebook. "It is the hope that this program will increase police awareness and build community rapport through this educational endeavor. In return, the City of Groton Police Department will benefit by becoming more aware of the concerns of the community through their interaction and input during this program."
The program is available to residents 18 years or older and full-time city employees.
