Fire Rips Through Groton Hotel
Firefighters battled a three-alarm blaze at a Groton hotel overnight.
GROTON, CT — A three-alarm fire hit a Groton hotel early Tuesday morning, according to a post from Poquonnock Bridge Professional Firefighters Local 2704.
The fire broke out at about 1 a.m. at the Flagship Inn & Suites on Gold Star Highway. It escalated to a three-alarm blaze.
Due to the "size and complexity" of the fire, mutual aid was brought in from surrounding towns.

"Together, all crews worked tirelessly to bring the fire under control and ensure the safety of everyone involved," the firefighters union wrote.
It took several hours for crews to extinguish the blaze. No injuries were reported, according to NBC CT.

After the blaze was under control, hotel guests were put in different rooms.
The American Red Cross and Salvation Army are assisting those affected by the fire, according to FOX 61.
