Fire Temporarily Closes McDonald's In Groton, Fire Officials Say
The fire was reported late Saturday.

GROTON, CT — The Poquonnock Bridge Professional Firefighters Local 2704 were busy battling a fire at a local McDonald's on Saturday night.
Fire crews responded to a structure fire at a McDonald's Restaurant, as reported by employees. The fire was found to be in its early stages, and fortunately, no injuries were reported, with all occupants accounted for, fire officials said.
Fire crews rapidly extinguished the fire, officials said.

The Fire Marshal's Office is investigating the incident, and the restaurant will remain closed until the Health Department provides clearance to reopen, fire officials said.
"We appreciate the support of our mutual aid partners, including Town of Groton Police Department, City of Groton Firefighters Union, Groton Ambulance, Old Mystic Fire Department (Official), Submarine Base Firefighters Local F-219," fire officials said.
