Groton Enacts Parking Ban Due To Approaching Winter Storm

Parking will be banned on all City of Groton streets during a 24-hour window this weekend.

GROTON, CT -- The City of Groton has announced a parking ban due to the incoming winter storm.

The city said the ban applies to all city streets to facilitate snow removal. The parking ban will run from 8 p.m. Saturday until 8 p.m. Sunday.

Temporary parking will be available at the Eastern Point Beach municipal lot at 2 Latham St. and Washington Park.

Those in violation may be ticketed and towed.
