Groton Enacts Parking Ban, Cancels School As Storm Moves In
The City of Groton and Groton Public Schools made the announcements with a storm barreling down on the region.

GROTON, CT — The City of Groton in anticipation of the incoming storm is announcing a parking ban. The City of Groton is enacting a parking ban on all City Streets to facilitate snow removal operations. The Parking ban will run from 1:00 AM on Tuesday, February 13, 2024 until 8:00 AM on Wednesday, February 14, 2024. Parking is prohibited on all City of Groton Streets during this time with the exception that EVEN side parking is permitted on Nathan Hale Drive, Paul Revere Drive and Litton Avenue.
Vehicles parked on hills or near intersections present the most danger for snowplow operators.
Temporary Parking is available at the Eastern Point Beach, The Municipal Parking Lot at 2 Latham Street, and Washington Park.

Vehicles in violation of the snow removal ban may be ticketed and towed at the owner’s expense.
